The war is not costing a single dime. Look up the budget for the US Dept of Defense. It is the same, whether we are at war, or NOT.

The soldiers get paid if they are in Alabama or Iraq. It makes no difference.

Yes war is costly in both lives and money, but just pulling the troops out is not a magic cure for the economy. What about all the jobs that the defense contractors have along with all the associated jobs related to producing the supplies for war. It is not just a black and white answer to the economy.
